I am truly amazed to see more and more folks being inclined towards the idea of adapting positivity. I hear a lot of them talking about the good vibes, being positive, positive emotion, positive psychology, blah blah blah….
So what is this whole notion of being positive??? If you ask me, positivity is synonymous with happiness. You would wonder if it is possible to acknowledge positivity without acknowledging the fact that the world is filled with negative emotions like pride, anger, hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, cynicism, etc.
But always remember what Michael Beckwith stated,
“A positive thought is 1000 times more powerful than a negative one”.
The emotions that we possess are an incredible gift as it lets us know what we are thinking. Most of us are unaware of the fact that our thoughts and our beliefs play a pivotal role in shaping up our life. Our feelings and our vibes could act as a feedback mechanism to understand whether we are on-track or off-track if only we were to understand and recognize it.
Inspired by the bestseller book ‘The Secret,’ I would like to shed light on the tiny-miny secrets to a happy life.
The Law of Attraction:
Everything that’s coming in our life is the result of the thoughts we attract in our life.
“A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.” – Mahatma Gandhi
In simple terms, the Law of Attraction states that all thoughts, beliefs and feelings, sooner or later, turn into things. It is our present thoughts that shape our future. The universe is a mirror, and the law of attraction is just echoing back our most leading thoughts. We are like a human transmission tower, transmitting at a particular frequency with our thoughts. If we want to attract anything specific in life, we need to change this frequency by just changing our thoughts in the direction of what we want to attract. The expectation is a powerful, attractive tool. Expect the things we want and dare not to expect the things we don’t want.
The Law of Attraction can be followed by just following the below mentioned three steps:
ASK | BELIEVE | RECEIVE
Step 1- ASK: Be calmly but intensely focused on the thing that we desire to manifest. Before we ask, be sure it is really what we wish for. While making that choice, always bear in mind, that whatever we wish for in our life is not governed by what other people think of us but by what we feel about ourselves. Allow ourselves to think freely, dream and be playful with our visions like a child. Have you ever observed a child? They would try almost anything because they believe that they can do it. Over time, most of us have lost those child-like qualities. So let’s bring out the child in us and for once think freely about our aspirations, our desires. Once we have truly made our choice, make our wish known to the universe and let it know what we want. The universe will respond to our thoughts.
Steps 2- BELIEVE: It involves acting, speaking and even thinking as though we have already received what we’ve asked for. Every successful person begins with two beliefs: the future can be better than the present, and I have the power to make it so. We must believe that what we have asked for is ours; the moment we asked for it. Make it real in our mind. When we emit the frequency of having received it, the universe moves everything to grant our wish.
It is quite natural that we would experience doubts and fears with regards to what we seek and this would interfere and compete with our positive feelings. For example; when we try to tune in a radio station, and sometimes two stations compete with each other; we are not able to hear either of them clearly. An effective way of dealing with these doubts and fear would be to be aware of them, acknowledge them and deal with them with love and compassion.
Steps 3- RECEIVE: This involves feeling the way we will feel once our desire is manifested. Feeling good at the present moment puts us at a frequency of what we want; it aligns us with our desires. The entire concept of Law of Attraction is that “Like attracts Like.” When we take action as if we have already received it, we are sending a loud and clear message to the universe that we are serious. The process of receiving starts by celebrating the achievement. You have done it! This exhilaration will accelerate the manifestation process and reach fulfillment in its entirety. It won’t be surprising if it even exceeds our expectation.
Continue to live in these positive thoughts and reflect on how the power that we always had inside us helped us achieve our goal. This internal energy isn’t something that just got activated; but it was always therewithin. Thus, we can accomplish anything that we set out mind on. It is only about channelizing it in the right direction, focusing on precisely what we want and instilling a sense of accomplishment well before it happens. This is how we can harness our strength through the Law of Attraction.
For instance, when we decide to lose weight, let’s not focus on ‘losing weight’ instead concentrate on the perfect weight, maybe even get a new dress which fits this ideal weight and we will soon be on the path of weight loss. Don’t talk about ailments and illnesses instead talk about good health and well-being. Create our day in advance by picturing the way we want it to go and we will end up creating our life intentionally, the way we desire it to be.
There are a few things that we need to keep in mind in this process of Law of Attraction.
Be strong: Every single desire that we have needs to be coupled with deep inner strength essential to achieving it. Very strong desire, coupled with belief and positive thoughts and feelings regarding its manifestation will result in the possibility and ability to accomplish our desires quickly. As we go about fulfilling our aspirations, it is very likely that there would be a tussle between compelling and opposing forces – our positive feelings towards attaining our goal against our fears and concerns. Even though we are aware and steadfast in our intention there will be a temptation to go back to the old ways and be complacent. It is important that we keep our focus in garnering all the positive thoughts and energy for fulfilling our desire and keep this temptation at bay.
Trust your belief: What we feel is true, will only be true, when we trust that our belief process would ultimately bring our desires to positive completion. One of the reasons why we might find it difficult to trust our belief is because our subconscious has bagged and tagged every single experience in our life. These experiences are partly positive and partly negative but it is some of these negative experiences which have created a limited view of us and our capabilities. Being aware of what we expose ourselves to and what we let inside us is one of the most essential tools for fortifying trust. If we are set on attaining our goals, then we need to protect our minds and thoughts fiercely. We need to ensure that we block all negative thoughts and let only the positive and optimistic ones into our mind. It would help us realize our goals much faster.
Have an attitude of gratitude: The more we focus on what we are grateful for, the more things and experiences we will attractto be grateful for. At the end of each day, be thankful for all the good things that came our way. Be aware that this would help us in achieving our overall goal and let it bring that sense of positivity into us. Gratitude unlocks our positive vibes as we look at the world at large from a different perspective enabling us to fathom the opportunities that lie in front of us. Being thankful for what you already have, before your desires are met, is a significant and influential factor in your formula for success.
Take Action: Once you have inspired your thought; you must act on it. Only by believing that something is true or untrue doesn’t change anything. That is the simple universal truth; but when you believe in it and get in tune with it, you can start predicting and expecting what happens to you, for you. You should act in a way that is in congruence with your desires, or else you can contradict your wishes. To get the Law of Attraction to work for us, be intentional with your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Intention helps in focusing every available resource that we have to perform our action. It channelizes your brain activity in the right direction of fulfillment. This type of disciplined focus will help you achieve faster and more accurate results. You must follow the gentle prodding from the universe. Often these intuitive impulses will have no seeming connection to achieving your goal, but if you follow them, they will lead you down a path of pleasing fulfillment. Know that by pursuing happiness instead of pushing for glory, we’re continuously being shown a way to follow, and we’re being reminded again and again that we are heading in the right direction. So go by your instinct on what is working for you, and it would lead you down the path of fulfilling your desire.
Acknowledge that it’s working: It is crucial always to acknowledge and be thankful for everything you receive if you want the law of attraction to work for you. The more you recognize even the smallest of gifts that you have received, the more you begin to notice new ones. If you start to see something change for the better, acknowledge that it is happening. Appreciate it. Remember that the universe does not necessarily give everything we desire for, in one swoop. Some manifestations fall right into our lap while some take a longer time to realize. It is given to us in tiny bits and pieces of the overall solution for us to realize, accept and put together. When you get the table you want in the restaurant, acknowledge it. When you crack a deal, acknowledge it. When you receive unexpected income, acknowledge it. When you meet someone who can help you achieve your goal, acknowledge that the Law of Attraction is working for you. The more you acknowledge that it’s working, the more it will work.
The Law of Attraction is universal, and it has been and will continue to work with or without your intention. It is more beneficial for you if you take charge of it and work it to your well-being. If you keep falling short, address those doubts and fears with love and compassion. Most likely, they are much stronger and louder than your desires and they need to be dealt with as we march towards our goal.
Always remember that there is a special place inside each one of us which helps us in connecting with the limitless potential of the universe. It is unique to each individual; we need to understand it; acknowledge it; own it. That’s when all the energies and power in the Universe rise and become our partner in this exciting and fulfilling journey of life. Every thought, feeling, action forms a co-creation with the Universe, God, Source or whatever our preferred term might be. The capability for everything might exist with this Source, but the capacity to attract resides in each one of us.
